In 2025 a gigantic stone containing seeds of many species of intelligent plants speeds up toward earth. NASA explodes the threatening stone by an atomic space missile. Shooting stars rush into the earth’s atmosphere. Karin Drum, a ballerina, whose father had discovered a sunken royal ship with an ancient golden calf in it, on her own way to Tahoe, observes a shooting star. She rows down on the lake, meanwhile hundreds of water lilies pop out of the water and dance in the air. Her boyfriend, Joe accuses her of spending Xmas eve with a stranger, she resentfully leaves him and goes to her dad’s and asks for diving equipment. Under Mammoth Lake she enters into a strange dry room walled with water and finds a little shining stone. Later she realizes that it has lost its shine. The stone breaks down, and the seed in it falls onto the ground. An unknown charisma wakes Karin up, and takes her to her glass-covered nursery where she looses consciousness. Joe enters the house and takes her to a hospital. Joe believes that he deserves having the golden calf because his father had a major role in finding it. Karin wants to sell the calf and donates the money to “Ozone Friendly Research Institute” in which, Joseph, Karin’s best friend works. Stuttering has not let Joseph to express his love to Karin. In the nursery, Joe pretends that he likes the Space Plant (SP). Realizing that he’s faking, S P makes him express his inner thoughts unconsciously. Joe’s statements are quite contrary to his gestures and this makes Karin laugh, Joe leaves her angrily. An Egyptian chemist gives a solution to Joe and advises him to get rid of the “mysterious plant” .Joe sneaks into Karin’s house and adds the solution to the soil of the plant. The next day Karin notices that S P is dead, she becomes sick .Pretending to be so sad and concerned, and Joe comes to visit Karin, when he touches her she feels weird and electrified. When Joe leaves, she gets a hold of Josef .Later on Karin opens the door to Josef, he hands her a Bird of Paradise (a flower) and Karin puts it on the table and they go together to her nursery, meanwhile thundering starts .Josef touches SP’s dead body and examines it’s poisonous soil and asks her if she can open the ceiling so the rain with Ozone pours inside. While they are walking back to the house , Josef notices that his stuttering stops and they suddenly witness that the Bird of Paradise is dancing in midair , they run back to the nursery and see that S P is shining like the “ Burning Bush”, meanwhile other flowers begin to dance in the air and magically provide a bed for them to make love. Under Joseph’s supervision, research begins on the nature of the space plant. Based upon this assumption that the plant is dead, Joe tends to lie again yet he exposes himself by telling the truth of killing SP, she wants him to leave her house forever. Karin decides to auction off the calf and a few other items. Mr. Kohan, an Iranian millionaire, is very enthusiastic to purchase the calf. Joe takes Kohan’s son as a hostage and inserts a small microphone in his father’s ear so on the day of the auction he cant declare no prices but what he is ordered to do , thus Joe ‘s men could actually buy the calf much cheaper than what it’s worth. They have no idea that this is SP which makes them give the real prices instead of the ones they actually should declare and this leads to a chaos, as a result the calf remains unsold. Josef arrives and informs Karin that they just had a great discovery at the institute, according to which SP in his photo synthetic process, produces Ozone instead of Oxygen and this means that cultivating it would naturally produce as much Ozone as the planet of earth needs to save it’s inhabitants. Joe and his men invade Karin’s house to steal the Calf, SP motivates other plants and flowers to strike back. The strange fight goes on for a while and finally Joe is sucked into the ground.
